Walter has been playing music since he was seven years old (when he got his first guitar as a Christmas gift). By the fourth grade, he had also begun playing trumpet, an instrument he continued through college at University of New Orleans.

In school, he played in concert bands, marching bands and jazz bands. At 16, he joined his first rock band, and he has been playing, parties, dances, weddings and clubs ever since.

Along the way, he picked up piano and harmonica, and in 2003, Walter began playing John Lennon with first Beatle band, Penny Lane.

It was great preparation for what was to come.

As a member of Penny Lane, Walter replicated the singing/guitar/piano/harmonica style of Lennon for thousands of discerning Beatle fans. Walter used those years to hone not only his vocal and instrumental style, but his stage persona as well. With Penny Lane, he portrayed Lennon in Texas, Arkansas, North Carolina, Mississippi, Louisiana and beyond.

His experience with Penny Lane culminated with the 2007 “Beatlefest” in Liverpool, England, a trip that also included dates at famed Liverpool club, the Cavern. He helped form Sgt Peppers in 2008, and is looking forward to playing with the band all over the world.
